Care Home Manager

As the Care Home Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and safety for all residents. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, manage budgets, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role includes liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and staff to create a welcoming, homely, and supportive environment for all.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the care sector, preferably in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CQC standards, health, and safety regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to creating a supportive, homely environment.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, are highly desirable.

Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, hands-on support to residents, assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meals, and mobility. You will build trusting relationships with residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being in a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires empathy, patience, and a commitment to delivering personalised care.

Requirements:

  • Genuine passion for helping others and providing compassionate, person-centered care.
  • Ability to assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, while preserving dignity and independence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude, with the ability to respond sensitively to residents’ needs.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols and the willingness to follow care plans accurately.
  • No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided, but prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and development, including willingness to undertake relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care).

Housekeeper

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and homely feel of the care home. Your responsibilities include cleaning communal areas and resident rooms, handling laundry, and ensuring the environment is safe and welcoming. Attention to detail and a friendly, respectful attitude are essential to creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere for residents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning, preferably in a residential care setting or similar environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to maintain all areas of the home.
  • Respectful and friendly demeanor when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, including infection control practices.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying laundry.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to contribute to the homely atmosphere of the care home.
